Srikandi - Jet pejuang MIG-29 terhempas semasa penerbangan ujian di kawasan perumahan berhampiran sebuah sekolah kampung di luar Moscow. Kedua-dua juruterbang dikeluarkan dan dibawa ke hospital.

Jet itu terhempas berhampiran perkampungan Chemodurovo, tenggara Moscow, semasa penerbangan ujian sebagaimana anak-anak kapal yang telah kembali ke pangkalan udara Penerbangan Ujian Institut di Ramenskoye, pegawai-pegawai tempatan memberitahu agensi berita Tass.

Ketua Perkhidmatan Kecemasan Radik Asulbaev, terbang dalam helikopter ke lokasi kemalangan, diangkut salah satu juruterbang yg cedera parah ke hospital Sklifosovsky di Moscow, pegawai yg memberitahu Novosti RIA. Juruterbang lain kemudiannya dibawa ke sebuah hospital tempatan.

A MIG-29 fighter jet crashed during a test flight in a residential area near a village school just outside Moscow. Both pilots ejected and were taken to hospital.

The jet crashed near the village of Chemodurovo, southeast of Moscow, during a test flight as the crew was returning to the Flight Testing Institute’s airbase in Ramenskoye, local officials told Tass news agency.

Emergencies Services chief Radik Asulbaev, flying in a helicopter to the crash site, transported one of the seriously injured pilots to the Sklifosovsky hospital in Moscow, officials told RIA Novosti. The other pilot was later transported to a local hospital.

Tiada kemalangan jiwa di tanah dilaporkan. Punca kejadian itu adalah yang belum pasti.

"Sesuatu yang berlaku dan juruterbang telah dipaksa untuk meninggalkan jet," kata Pavel Vlassov, ketua Mikhail Gromov Penerbangan Institut Ujian.

No casualties on the ground were reported. The cause of the incident is as yet uncertain.

"Something happened and the pilots were compelled to abandon the jet," said Pavel Vlassov, head of the Mikhail Gromov Flight Test Institute.

Perakam kotak hitam MiG yang ditemui di lokasi kemalangan dan akan matang untuk dianalisis oleh pakar-pakar dari institut penyelidikan ke-13 Kementerian Pertahanan Rusia, jurucakap kementerian itu.

Dual-kerusi MiG-29KUB jet pejuang yang terhempas berhampiran Moscow adalah salah satu daripada 2 penerbangan jet tentera laut yg berpangkalan di Zhukovsky di pusat penerbangan ujian maju RAC MiG ini.

The MiG’s black box recorders were found at the crash site and are due to be analyzed by experts from the 13th research institute of Russia’s Defense Ministry, a spokesman for the ministry said.

The dual-seat MiG-29KUB fighter jet which crashed near Moscow was one of the two naval aviation jets based in Zhukovsky at RAC MiG’s advanced test flight center.
